Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about vacation rental management, local property oversight, onboarding, service areas, and what it’s like to work with Hill Country Host Co.

What does Hill Country Host Co actually manage?

We provide full-service vacation rental management and local property oversight for owners in Wimberley and throughout the Texas Hill Country. Depending on the property and ownership goals, that can include bookings, guest communication, turnover coordination, inspections, vendor management, maintenance coordination, and ongoing local support.

Do you only work with Airbnb and VRBO properties?

No. We work with vacation rental owners whether the property is already live on Airbnb or VRBO, listed on multiple platforms, or still being prepared for launch. If your property isn’t active yet, we can help evaluate what support you need before going live.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Wimberley, Driftwood, Dripping Springs, Fischer, Canyon Lake, San Marcos, New Braunfels, Blanco, and surrounding Texas Hill Country communities.

Do you offer full-service management or just local support?

Both, depending on the property and the owner’s needs. Some owners need full-service management, while others need reliable local oversight, vendor coordination, inspections, guest support, or help managing an out-of-town property.

Can you help if my property is not live yet?

Yes. We work with owners who are still preparing to launch a short-term rental and need help understanding setup, operations, local support, and what it takes to manage the property successfully.

What’s included in full-service vacation rental management?

Services can vary by property, but may include guest communication, booking coordination, turnover scheduling, vendor coordination, maintenance oversight, property inspections, supply monitoring, and general operational support needed to keep the rental running smoothly.

How do you handle maintenance, cleaners, and vendors?

We coordinate the local operational side of the property, including communication with cleaners, maintenance professionals, and service vendors as needed. The goal is to keep the property cared for consistently and to address issues before they become bigger problems.

Do you work with out-of-town owners?

Yes. In fact, that’s a big part of the value we provide. Many owners need a trusted local presence to oversee the property, coordinate vendors, handle guest issues, and keep operations moving when they can’t be there in person.

How do I know what level of management I need?

That’s exactly what the consultation is for. Some properties need full-service management, while others only need support in a few areas. We use the consultation process to understand the property, your goals, and where support is most needed.

How does pricing work?

Management pricing is customized based on the property, the level of service needed, and the scope of operational support required. We’ll review the property and discuss options during the consultation process.

How do I get started?

Start by submitting a consultation request through the Consultation page. We’ll review the property details, learn more about your goals, and follow up about the next steps.
